Funeral service for Doris Ann Terrell McCutcheon,88, will be Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Center Springs Church with Reverend Michael Mason officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:30-3:00 PM at Center Springs Church.
Mrs. McCutcheon passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Riverside Senior Living in Decatur. She was born on June 27, 1937, in Morgan County to Eugene Wells Terrell and Gladys Fields Terrell.
She was a stay-at-home mother until later in life and then she was employed at SCI in Huntsville. Doris loved flowers of all kinds, cooking, sewing and going to her bowling league. She was very involved in her children’s and her grandchildren’s lives. She loved to share her plants, home grown vegetables, and baked goods with anyone who stopped by. Doris was a member of Center Springs Church.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years- Johnston W. McCutcheon. her parents, and three sisters: Sue Terrell Parker, Jean Edmonson, and Carolyn Driver.
She is survived by her sons – Donald McCutcheon, and Dr. Michael McCutcheon and wife- Robin, and her daughter- Melanie Warner and husband- Brent, her grandchildren – Grant Warner (Sara), Lillie Beth Warner, Annilynn Warner, Johnston Michael McCutcheon, and Elizabeth McCutcheon Hurst (Riley), and great grandson – Harrison Cleveland Warner, along with many nieces, nephews, and special friends and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Tim Parker, Steve Edmonson, Grant Warner, Johnston McCutcheon, Riley Hurst, and Cole Sharp.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Riverside Senior Living for taking such great care of our mother over the last three years.
