Doris Ann Richards Murphy, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 30, 2014 in Durham, NC. Doris was born August 21, 1929 in Fort Wayne, IN. She married her high school sweetheart, the late Bob Richards of Haleyville, AL. and later the late Bruce Murphy.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church in Haleyville where she was a member during her years here. She will be laid to rest at Winston Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her children: Steve Richards (Carol) and Libby Richards Mitchell of Chapel Hill, NC, Jim Richards (Tina) of Spanish Fort, AL; step children, Jim (Sarah) and Pat Murphy of Richlands, MI; grandchildren: Chris Richards (Elizabeth), Carrie Williamson (Eddie) of Chapel Hill, NC, Ashley Mitchell of Tallahassee, FL and Madison Richards of Spanish Fort, AL; Patrick and Molly Patton; seven great grandchildren; her brother: Robert Wiebke of Anderson, IN.
