Dorene Hannah of Decatur, Alabama, passed away on October 19, 2026. She will be remembered with love by her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Roselawn Cemetery, with Jeff Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Dorene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hershel Hannah; her parents, Buster and Blanche Moreland; her brothers, Tom Moreland, Floyd Moreland, Nile Moreland, Trenton Moreland, Jim Bob Moreland, and Lloyd Moreland; and her sisters, Dorothy Moreland and Wanda Lee Moreland.
She is survived by her sister, Linda Davis, as well as many family members and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
Dorene retired from 3M Company after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially playing bingo and trying her luck at the slot machines. Anyone who knew Dorene knew just how lucky she could be. It seemed as though she won nearly every time she played, and those moments brought her great joy and gave her family and friends many stories to remember and smile about.
Dorene’s presence, personality, and the special memories she created will remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Though she will be greatly missed, her family will always treasure the time they were blessed to have with her.
