Dora Mae Phifer, age 74, of Attica, MI passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at her residence. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, and a retired nursing assistant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William B. and Eva Byrd Lovell; her husband, Larry Gardner; one son, Johnny Gardner; two sisters, Judy Dickson and Mary Overbey; four brothers, Billy W. Lovell, Marvin Lovell, Peter Lovell, and W.C. Lovell; and one grandchild, Christopher Billmeyer.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Kennedy (Barry) of Leoma, TN, Judy Solomon (Richard) of Attica, MI, and Rhonda Billmeyer of Lyons, IL; sister-in-law, Maryana Lovell of Lawrenceburg, TN; four grandchildren, Craig Billmeyer, Aric Solomon, Benjamin MacDonald, and Anna Kate Kennedy; and two great-grandchildren, Abby Solomon and Molly Solomon.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Monday, March 18, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Oak Hill Cemetery at 1:00 PM Monday, March 18, 2024, with Rodney Krick officiating.

I feel so bad. I have searched for Dora Mae for many years and couldn’t find her. We hung out in jr high and high school. Loved her and her sweet southern voice! So sorry to hear she has passed.
