Dora was born in Giles County, TN on May 23, 1947 to Lum and Christina Dunnavant Watkins. She was a self-employed caregiver and member of the First Baptist Church who enjoyed shopping, gardening, visiting friends, as well as spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dora is preceded in death by her parents; husband JT Chapman; son Larry Chapman; stepsons Jack Chapman and Steve Chapman; daughter Teresa Henderson; grandson Johnny Henderson; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be from 12-2pm on Monday June 23, 2025 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with Funeral Services following at 2pm. Interment will be in Giles Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to First Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
Dora is survived by her stepdaughter Judy Chapman of Columbia; granddaughter Bethany McAnulty (Andrew); granddaughter in law Allison Martin (Cody); great grandchildren Carter Henderson, Cason Henderson, and Carlene Elizabeth McAnulty.
