Alabama Department of Revenue reminds taxpayers not to give personal information to unknown
callers, report suspected phishing scam
MONTGOMERY— The Alabama Department of Revenue has received several tips
from taxpayers who received automated calls informing them that the department is about to sue them,
and that they should call 206-201-2445.
This phone number is in no way affiliated with the Alabama Department of Revenue. Any legitimate
employee calling from the ADOR will not ask for a social security number or bank account information.
No taxpayer will be informed about any litigation over the phone.
