Donogene Goins Wilson, 82, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Feb. 5, 2014.
Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, from 11-1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with funeral services to begin at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Thomas Thornton and Brother Greg Willis officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Wilson, and son, Ernest “Zeke” Wilson.
Survivors include her son, Doug Wilson (Pam);
grandchildren, Lucretia Henton (Marty), Holly Ray (Tony), Courtney Linley (Kevin), Ben Wilson (Ashley), and William Wilson;
great-grandchildren, Hayley Henton, Kayley Henton, Luke Linley, John Linley, Kelsey Wilson, and Kathryn Wilson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Wilson loved her church and was a very active member of First Southern Baptist for many years. She was known for her rum cakes, was always ready for a good laugh and joke, and she loved her family very much.
Special thanks to, her “special friends” at the church who took good care of her and Dr. Heaton, Dr. Morris, and Dr. Webb for caring for our dear mother.
