Donna Sue Peake
Mrs. Peake, 68, of Woodville, passed away at Huntsville Hospital in the daytime hours on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. She was a kind, Compassionate, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all. Donna was born December 30, 1951 in Lafayette, La. She was the daughter of Claude Richard Trahan Jr. and Emma Jean Wells. She grew up in Houston, Tx, on the North side by the Airport, with her brothers Stanley M. Trahan, Claude E. Trahan and Donald L. Trahan. She attended Shadydale Elementary School, Aldine Junior High School and MacArthur Senior High School. She also graduated from Beauty School, top in her class and graduated from secretarial and bookkeeping college, alumni of Houston Community College. She retired from Houston Independent School District as a substitute teacher. She was a very intelligent, clever and multi- talented person. She was a good Christian woman with a big and loving kind heart and pure soul. Mrs. Peake had several successful careers as a Beautician, Waitress, Backup Singer, secretary, substitute teacher and Private Tutor. She taught Sunday School and sung in the Church Choir at Epworth Parker Methodist Church in Houston, Tx from 1985-2012. She was a member of United Methodist Women’s group and did a lot of volunteer work for World and local charities and causes. She loved doing charity work and helping people and pets in need
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 11:00 am at Union Cemetery in Woodville, Al.
Mrs. Peake is survived by her youngest daughter, Martha Peake; eight grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; two brothers, Stanly M. Trahan and his wife Geraldine and their two daughters and two granddaughter of Cleveland, Tx., brother Donald Trahan and his two daughters and grandson of League City, Tx As well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-Patty Beth Trahan and brother-Claudie E. Trahan, husband- Mr. Orvil J. Peake and her daughters-Barbara Peake, Jeanette Nelson and Edith Staine. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to her favorite charities St. Jude, ASPCA, Operation Smiles and Cancer Research.
