The funeral service for Donna Sue Evans Pollock, age 57 of Lineville, will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Cathy Lieux speaking.
Ms. Pollock passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at her home. A Birmingham native, she lived in Hueytown and graduated from Hueytown High School in 1979. Donna lived there until settling in Lineville in 1996. She had worked as Safety Director for Skipper Transportation. As a young woman, she learned CPR at the age of 10; she received her boating license at age 11 and also knew how to fly an airplane. Donna was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, the Air Force Auxiliary organization which searched for downed airplanes. She loved painting, wood burning, crocheting and building birdhouses. Donna demonstrated Agape love and cared not only for her own children and grandchildren, who were truly her world, but for everyone’s. She was a 10-year breast cancer survivor and a member of Lineville Baptist Church.
Donna is survived by her three children: Summer Brooke Suggs and her fiance’ Christopher Slauson, Wyatt Evan Pollock and his fiance’ Terri Thornton and Travis Dee Pollock, all of Lineville; her sister, Cathy Evans Lieux of McCalla; two grandchildren: Bryson Wayne Atchley and Kaylin MacKenzie Suggs, both of Lineville; her nephew, Blake Snider and his wife Nikki of McCalla; the Businelle Family of Lineville and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Gerald Ray Evans and Riki Sheryl Osborne Evans.
