Donna Lyn “Nona” Lovett Grooms, age 53, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 at her residence.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Randy McNeece officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM and again on Friday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on August 31, 1966 in Columbia, Donna was the daughter of Delmer Lovett and the late Alice Wright Lovett. She was an avid UT football fan who enjoyed motorcycles and loved 80s rock band music. Donna had a specific infatuation with elephant ear plants. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren who were her world. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Joey Grooms of Columbia; sons: Jamie (Shelby) Grooms of Columbia, Jeremy (Anna) Grooms of Columbia; brother, Marty Lovett of Columbia; sister, Mary Beth Lovett of Columbia; grandchildren: Austin, Kevin, Peyton, and Jace Grooms and Emma and Maddie Hollis; best friend, Sissy Isabell; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Marty Lovett, Austin Grooms, Chris Hill, Scott Lovett, Cameron Calvert, Michael Grooms, Chad Fletcher and Greg Wood.
