Donna Kay Whitaker, 62, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born on January 4, 1959 in Monroe County to Marcus Ray and Nona Jean Whitlock Young. She grew up in Nettleton and graduated Nettleton High School. She married Michael James Whitaker and she was a devoted homemaker who loved to cook and take care of her grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday December 8, 2021 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Bryan Woods officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband, Michael James Whitaker of Amory; 3 sons, Christopher Michael Whitaker of Nettleton, Kevin Dewayne Whitaker of Amory, and Brandon James Whitaker of Nettleton; two brothers, Randy Young of Colorado Springs, CO and Donnie Young of Nettleton; two sisters, Brenda Hardesty of Amory and Tammy Fraga of Nettleton; and 8 grandchildren, Brooke Whitaker, Blake Whitaker, Paisley Whitaker, Abby Ingraham, Skyler Whitaker, Olivia West, Raygan Whitaker, and Cayden Whitaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and by grandparents, Ollie D. and Louise Whitlock and Pink and Etoyle Young.
