Memorial Service for Mrs. Donna Kay “Duck” Cooper, 59 of Decatur will be 1:00 pm, Friday at Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church with the Reverend George Franklin officiating.
Public Viewing will only be on Wednesday from 10:00 am till 6:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.
The life of Donna “Duck” Kay Scott-Cooper began in Morgan County Alabama on June 25, 1954 to the late Robert Taylor and Mary A. Kelley-Jones. Donna departed this life on March 15, 2014 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mrs. Cooper was baptized at an early age. She was a member at the New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Athens Alabama. Donna was united in Holy Matrimony to the Late Thomas Neal Cooper Sr. in 1987. She attended Lakeside High School in Decatur Alabama.
Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by: her parents, Robert Taylor and Mary A Jones; two brothers, Bobby Lee Bell and Wendell Scott; two sisters, Shirley Kelley and Maxie Mae Taylor; one brother-in-law, Charles Lee Langford Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four sons, Antonio Kelley (LaTresa) of Montevallo, Alabama, Terrius Strain, Shelby J Strain, Thomas Neal Cooper Jr. of Decatur, Alabama; two daughters, Subrina D Ford of Decatur Alabama, LaDonna Monchelle Cooper of Montgomery Alabama; eight Grandchildren, Joctavious Kelley, Larry King Jr, Jasmine Ford, Alliyah Strain, Jonathan Strain of Decatur Alabama, Valencia Boyd of Alabaster, Alabama, Amber Cardwell, Mikayla Cardwell of Montevallo Alabama; three great grandchildren, Aniah Kelley, Mariah Kelley of Decatur Alabama, Nevaeh Boyd and Hideya Boyd of Alabaster Alabama; one sister, Margaret A Langford of Decatur Alabama; four aunts, Dorothy Davis, Nellie Holyfield (David), Bernice Bates (Charlie), Ollie Surles of Decatur Alabama; two uncles, Johnny Lee Kelley (Theolinde L) of Lawton Oklahoma and Walter Taylor of Yonkers New York and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
