Donna Joan Hollingsworth, 79, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday. Donna Joan was born in Wind Ridge, Pennsylvania. She married Alton Hollingsworth on the 3rd of June 1953. Donna was a resident of Salem, Ohio for the majority of her life. She was a successful developer and co-owner of Bruce Herron, Inc. Real Estate Agency. She was appointed Secretary-Treasurer of the Columbiana County Board of Realtor in 1976. She was also extremely involved in the First Christian Church in Salem.
In 2001, Donna moved to Middleburg Heights where she spent 10 years with her loving companion, John Wolfe. Donna moved to Huntsville in July of 2011 to be with her family. She joined and became a member of Mayfair Church of Christ. Donna Joan was a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to laugh and socialize and had many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Hollingsworth; daughter, Susan Hulton; mother, Mildred Wallace and sister, Lois Ruffle.
Survivors include son, Timothy Hollingsworth; grandchildren, Carrie Yandell, Alisa Hollingsworth, Dusty Hulton and Lacey Hulton; and six great-grandchildren (with one on the way), who love their Nonna dearly.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at Mayfair Church of Christ, immediately followed by the funeral service. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Gurley.
