Donna Jean Clark Wilburn went to the happy hunting ground from NMMC in Tupelo at 2:39 AM on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023. She was 65 years old. Born in Anderson, Indiana on August 8, 1958 to the late Donald Gene Clark and Barbara Kay Parker Clark, Donna grew up there and attended the public schools. She and her family relocated to Northeast Miss. in 1977. A lady who loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and enjoying God’s creation, Donna was not afraid of work. Early in life, she was a professional women’s wrestler, known as the Golden Girls. She worked several industrial jobs along the way and retired from MTD/Air Cap where she was a welder. A free spirit with a zeal and zest for life and living, Donna was particularly fond of her boys and their families, especially the grandchildren who equally loved Nanny.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Jay Knight officiating. Private family burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 11 AM Wednesday and continue until service time. Survivors include her sons, Chris Roach (Kelly), B.J. McMurry (Lauren), and Michael Roach (Donna); sisters, Mikel Ann and Victoria; 11 grandchildren, Kelsey Roach, Dakota Roach, Brooke Kelley, Laken Roach, Jesse Roach, Zach Roach, Lucas Roach, Will McMurry, Ligha McMurry, Braxton McMurry, and Marley Sue Norris; and great grandchild Grayson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Richy Wilburn who died in 2001. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving their friends.
