Donna Allen Riley – Obituary

Donna Allen Riley, age 51, a resident of Hampshire, passed away September 2, 2018.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 2 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Rogers officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 6-8 PM and again on Friday from 1-2 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donna was born on January 21, 1967 in Maury County and was the daughter of the late John Edward Allen, Jr. and the late Linda Mitchell Gregory.  She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and worked many years at The Video Shoppe in Columbia.  Donna loved watching movies as well as being outdoors, camping and going to the beach.  She was an excellent cook who had a special recipe for cracklin’ corn bread.  A fearless personality, Donna wasn’t afraid to do anything.  She was known as being a very charismatic woman who had a giving heart. She loved her family, especially her grandbabies, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters: Brittany Riley of Columbia; Samantha (Brad) Sullivan of Columbia; grandchildren: Kenna Riley, Lyviana Riley, Brynlee Riley; step mother: Martha Ann Hinson of Donelson; husband Matthew Nelson of Spring Hill; siblings: Sheri (Rob) Hill of Hermitage, Elizabeth “Beth” Searle of Columbia, John (Brenda) Allen of Columbia, Jason (Bridget) Cook of Texas, Jesse (Nicole) Fortner of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
