Donald Wade “Donnie” Nelson, 58, of Florence, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022. Arrangements will be announced.
Donnie was a native of Colbert County and a member of Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Geraldine Nelson and grandparents, J.C. and Christine McBride.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Marsha Thrasher Nelson; children, Marc Matlock, Tyler Nelson, Matthew Matlock, and Hannah Nelson; sister, Katrina Nelson, 9 grandchildren, nephews, Kyle Race and Jordan Nelson; and best friend, Chris Letson.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
