Donald Timothy Hornish Donald Timothy Hornish, 59, of Somerville, AL passed away on May 3, 2025. Donald was born in Wauseon, Ohio to Donald and Nancy (Birtcher) Hornish. He was married to his wife Lisa for 38 years and had two sons. He served for 21 years in the Air Force as a Cyber Systems Superintendent and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He was stationed at many locations around the world including Japan, The United Kingdom, Hawaii, and Greece. He retired in 2010 and moved on to become a systems administrator for the Boeing Corporation in Colorado and Texas before transferring to Alabama in 2019. He was an avid woodworker, fisherman, golfer, chef, photographer, and hiker. Throughout his life he was a dedicated Christian, often focusing in the music ministry. From founding a men’s barbershop quartet in 1994 to being choir and congregational music director at various churches, he always tried to be involved at his local church. Second only to Christ was his family, whom he dedicated his life to supporting and sharing his joy of living. His adventurous spirit and infectious enthusiasm were boundless and will be dearly missed.

Donald is survived by his wife Lisa, parents Don and Nancy Hornish, his brother Scott Hornish, his sisters Pam Bauer and Angela Croston, his sons Lucas (wife Zoie) and Alex Hornish.

Funeral service for Donald will be Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Forest Hill Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jon-Allen Stanley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. A private graveside service will follow.
