Donald Ray Haggard, Jr., age 64, of Greenbrier, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 12pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Reverend Luke Haggard officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Skeeter Haggard, Ricky Adams, Keith Sorensen, D.J. Haggard, Luke Haggard and Darrell Haggard serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 4-8pm and again on Tuesday from 10am until the hour of service at 12pm.
Mr. Haggard was born September 22, 1956 in Greenville, NC to Donald Ray and Barbara Jean Godley Haggard, Sr. He worked in Supply and Inventory at Unarco and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved racing, building and buying model cars, and loved his family very much.
In addition to his parents Mr. Haggard is preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Haggard. He is survived by his wife, Myra Adams Haggard; daughter, Ashley (Keith) Sorensen of Russellville, KY; siblings, Sheila Haggard of Nashville, Rauline (Richard) Warren of Stokes, NC, Ellen (Keith) Evans of Bluffton, SC, Randy (Jackie) Haggard of Nashville, Johnny (Barbara) Clark of Hardeeville, SC, and David (Jamie) Haggard of Nashville; and granddaughter, Daisey Shea Lewis.
