Mr. Donald Patton Crunk, age 84 of Athens, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Crunk was born on July 9, 1934 in Lauderdale County, AL to Robert Patton Crunk and Tharzia Hunt Crunk.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Crunk and sister, Mary Ruth Crunk.
Mr. Crunk is survived by his son, Dale Borden and wife Sheila of Athens, AL; grandchildren, Brigitte Miller (Jeff), Josh Borden (Amanda) and Justin Borden; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Bobbye Mitchell (Milton), Ann Hale, Jenny Lynn Owens (Charlie) and Sharon Henson (Lynn) all of Lauderdale County; brother, Dan Crunk (Charlotte) of Limestone County.
Mr. Crunk was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a member of the Electrical Union 558, Cowboys for Christ and Back Country Trail Riders.
Services for Mr. Crunk will be at 1:00PM on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Fairview Baptist Church with George Whitten and Phillip Schrimsher officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM-1:00PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
