Donald Manning, 69, of Athens, passed away on Friday, February 7th, 2025, at his residence. Mr. Manning was born on September 10th, 1955, in Roanoke, Virginia, to Carlton and Mary (Johnson) Manning.
Mr. Manning is survived by his wife, Marie Manning; daughter, Alison Manning; brothers, Mike Manning (Tonya) and John Manning (Doris); granddaughter, Taylor Long; and daughter-in-law, Gail Long.
He is preceded in death by his son, Derek Long; and parents, Carlton and Mary Manning.
The funeral service will be Thursday, February 13th, 2025, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be Thursday, from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Thatch-Mann Cemetery.
Mr. Manning loved his Jeeps and family. He was a wonderful dad and husband. For thirty-five years he was married to the love of his life. He also loved being in the woods and telling jokes.
