Funeral services for Donald Lee “Smitty” Smith, Sr.,79, of Corinth are set for Friday, July 30, 2021 at 11am at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 5 pm – 8 pm and Friday, July 30, 2021, from 10 am until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Smith, David Smith, John Snider, Jessie Snider, Johnny Oxner, Donna Bowen, and Tyler Jones.
Born January 26, 1942, in Alcorn County, MS, Donald passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at MS Care Center in Corinth. He was a self-employed plumber and electrician and of the Pentecostal faith.
Donald is survived by his sons; Donnie Smith, Jr., David Michael Smith and wife Mindy and Wendall Huggins; daughters, Donna Suzzane Essary and husband Chris, Belinda Huggins Mathis Rorie and husband Donus and Sherry Huggins Jones Oxner and husband Johnny; his companion, Brenda Hillis; 15 grandchildren, Brandon Lee Smith, Brianna Payne and husband Joshua, Jammie Smith, Beth Smith, Leslie Smith, Jesse Snider, Sophie Jackson and husband Colton, John Snider, Sarah Snider, Tyler Jones, Zachary Jones, Cameron Malone, William Huggins, Braxton Rorie, and Kenneth Pharris; 2 great-grandchildren, Ashton Thomas and Silas Thomas; brothers, Thomas Smith and Bobby Smith and wife Becky; other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Edward and Beatrice Parker Smith; brother, Ricky Paul Smith and sister, Earnestine Smith.
