of Cherokee passed away June 5, 2016. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8th at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tim Nail officiating. Burial will be at Cherokee Memorial Park.
Donnie is a native of Pensacola, FL. He was a retired insurance adjuster and owner of Cherokee Paint & Body Shop.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Melanie Gross; sister, June Nail; brother, Terry Gross; sons, Kevin Gross (Cindy) and Keith Gross; daughter, Kerrianne Downey; he had nine grandchildren, Kevin Gross, Kristopher Gross, Ashely Gross, Breann Cote, Mandy Smock, Dusty Harris, Haley Green, Adam Downey, and Matthew Harris; seven great-grandchildren, Aaron, Carson, Marissa, Grayson, Ella, Peyton, and Kaylee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
