Mr. Donald Keith Helton, 89, of Florence passed away on February 21, 2016. He was a member of First Christian Church, Muscle Shoals Antique Car Association, and Good Sam’s Motor Home Association.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Storie officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park with military honors.
Mr. Helton was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Mae Helton; sister, Wanda Hale and one brother, Charles Helton.
Survivors include his wife, June Hosper Helton; son, Gregory Keith Helton(Marilyn); daughters, Caprice Givens(David) and Kelley Miller (Wes); brother, William Helton; sisters, Ruth Russell, Patricia Armstrong and Jan Sansone; grandchildren, David Givens, II (Angela), Curt Givens, Grant Givens, Scott Givens (Jenny), Adrienne Ward, Kim Smallwood (Rex), Keith Helton, and Kyle Miller (Tiffany); great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Alexandra and Emma Grace Givens, Dayton and Riley Ward, Ashlyn Smallwood and Maddie and James Givens.
Active pallbearers will be David Givens II, Curt Givens, Grant Givens, Scott Givens, Keith Helton, Kyle Miller, Dayton Ward, and Rex Smallwood.
Bill Knox, David Warren, Junior Kuykendall, James Lucas, Jim Bickle, and Bob Stevens will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Burn Hospital, Florence Animal Shelter, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
