Donald Glenn Murray, 83, of Huntsville, died Saturday, July 17, 2021. He was born to Glenn and Mary Murray in Nashville, Tennessee, where he attended Hillsboro High School. After graduating from the University of Alabama, Don began a long career in professional sales, a career he enjoyed, particularly for the many friends he made along the way. Throughout the years, Don found pleasure in coaching Little League, playing tennis, training his bird dogs, teaching his sons and their friends to fish and bird hunt, traveling with friends and family, and collecting antique fishing lures. He was often happiest at the cabin, in his boat, fishing the lake and appreciating nature. Don will be remembered by all who knew him for his kindness, legendary sense of humor, positive attitude, perseverance, strength, and a genuine love for people and animals.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Jayne; his beloved sons, Rhett (Melanie) Murray and Shade (Annette) Murray; grandchildren, Blake (Emily) Murray, Davis (Allison) Murray, Lawren Murray, Robert Murray, Abby Murray, and Dollie Meredith Murray; brother, Joseph (Rosa Lee) Murray; several nieces and nephews; numerous good friends, and his adored dog Scarlett.
