Donald Gilbert, age 71 of Crossville passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital.
His funeral service will be at 4:30 Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Macedonia #2 Baptist Church, 1092 County Road 34, Crossville, Al. 35962. Bro. LaWayne Levans and Bentley Gilbert will officiate the service. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 and Thursday afternoon from 2:30 until 4:30 before the service at Macedonia #2 Church. He will be laid to rest at New Home Cemetery in Kilpatrick.
He is survived by his wife; Joyce Gilbert, children; Nathan Gilbert (Susan), Shane Edmonson (Tracie), Scotty Gilbert, Tabitha Galloway and Tina Malone, grandchildren; Mallary Bright (Dakota Matthews), Cody Edmonson (Natalie), Briley Wright (Dakota), Bentley Gilbert (Lacey), Brantley Bruce, Alec Edmonson (Samantha), Shyann White (Brody), Branson Gilbert, Hadley Hamilton, Brock Gilbert (Zanna Ferguson), Gunner Galloway, Samantha Galloway, 8 Great Grandchildren and one due in June. He is also survived by his siblings; twin, Ronald Gilbert, Phyllis Bolton, June Nelson (Randall) and Shirley Croft (Jr.).
He is preceded in death by his daughter; Missy Hamilton, grandson; Payton Gilbert, great-grandson; Ryder Matthews, son-in-law; Marty Malone, brother-in-law; Robert Bolton, sister-in-law; Susan Gilbert and his parents; Buck and Williene Gilbert.
