Donald Gene Sparks departed this life on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 10 days. He was born in Baldwyn, Mississippi, on April 4,1940, the son of the late Arthur Bernard and Daisy Ollene Sparks. On July 22, 2021, he was united in marriage to Leticia Robinson Sparks, who survives.
Donald had worked for AT&T as a foreman and was a member of Church on the Rock and a Red Cross Volunteer. He loved to fish, garden, read, and study the Bible. Donald was a big Alabama fan, and never complained no matter what came his way.
In addition to his wife, Leticia Robinson Sparks of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, Donald is survived by his children, Paula Neill of Savannah, Tennessee, Lisa McDowell of Nashville, Tennessee, Sharon Denis Riley of Kentucky, and Stacy Lee Sparks of Adamsville, Tennessee; sisters, Janie Louise Allen, Ethel Faye Blanton, both of Savannah, Tennessee, and Anna Mae Thomas of Des Plains, Illinois; brothers, Joe Sparks of Florida and Troy Lee Sparks of Yorkville, Georgia; and several grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Wayne Sparks.
