Mr. Donald Edward Madewell, 70, passed away Wednesday May 25, 2016 at Life Care of Sparta with his family at his bedside. He was born in Spencer on September 8, 1945 to Bill and Dovie Alice Sparkman Madewell who preceded him in death along with his wife, Ruby Blaylock Madewell; sister, Elizabeth McGuire; brothers, Freddie Bill and Estes Madewell; infant sister, Betty Joe Madewell.
He was a member of the Faith Trinity Assembly Church and was retired from the City of Spencer.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Alease Madewell; grandsons, Danny Jr. and Dusty Madewell; brother, Howard Madewell; sisters, June (Lanceford) Forsythe, Nina Forsythe, Maude Thompson and Lee Grissom; a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, William Wanamaker and Luke Hobbs officiating with burial to follow in the Spencer Town Cemetery.
