Donald Edward Jeffreys, 81, Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. Visitation will be Sunday, December 31, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A graveside service will follow at Allsboro Methodist Church Cemetery, Cherokee, beginning at 2:00 p.m., with David Woodis officiating.
Donald was a U.S. Army veteran with service in the Alabama National Guard and a member of the Methodist Church. He graduated from Deshler High School in 1963 where he played football and ran track. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Donald was preceded in death by his father, James “Woody” Jeffreys, and mother, Nellie Mae Jeffreys; and sisters, Jackie Williams and Betty Goins.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Hannah Jeffreys; children, Jimmy Jeffreys (Joanne), Melanie Jeffreys, and Tonia Masdon; grandchildren, Austin Jeffreys, Connor Jeffreys, Victoria Teeter, Mary Kate Warren, Alex Warren, Emily Estes, and Tanner Bowling; great-granddaughter, Everly Estes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Alex Estes, Tanner Bowling, Austin Jeffreys, Connor Jeffreys, Reggie Goins, and Darrell Goins. Honorary pallbearers are John Gamble and Jim Bryant.
