Funeral service for Donald D. Stowe, 81, of Hartselle, will be Friday September 20, 2013 at 1:30 pm at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Shane Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday September 19, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Stowe was born October 06, 1931 in North Carolina to Frank and Lola Long Stowe, he passed away September 17, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Stowe was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Teno Stowe, grandson Samuel Carlock, two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Campbell Stowe, of Hartselle; two sons Andy N. Stowe of Hartselle, and Paul D. Stowe of Decatur. Two daughters; Donna Stowe Carlock and Myra Stowe Badger, both of Hartselle. One brother Gerald Stowe, of Belmont , North Carolina. Thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be, Andy Stowe, Paul Stowe, Mike Carlock, Joshua Carlock, Mark Stowe, and Travis Badger.
