In loving memory of Donald Bricey Buffkin (July 11, 1958 – February 27, 2024).
I am very sad to say that Don has left us to go dance with the angels in Heaven. He was 65 years old.
He left behind a brother, Dennis Buffkin of Martinsville, VA; a sister, Diane Buffkin of Ridgeway, VA; several nieces; his ex-wife/best friend, Gina Buffkin of Trinity; his daughter, April Buffkin-Anderson of Fort Payne, AL; six grandchildren, Giddeon Buffkin of Trinity, Cameryn Anderson of Trinity, Briceyn Anderson of Trinity, Gabbriella Anderson of Trinity, and Zaydeyn Anderson of Fort Payne, and Grayceyn Anderson of Fort Payne. He also leaves behind a few close friends.
He was preceded in passing by his mother, Kathleen “Dede” Buffkin, father, Bricey Grover “Pops” Buffkin, and sister, Deborah Buffkin, all of Martinsville, VA; and his grandson, Raphael Michael Anderson of Fort Payne.
Don was born and raised in Martinsville, VA, but moved to Trinity, AL in 1992. He was a very loving father and grandfather, very kind-hearted, would give the shirt off his back. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades. He was known as a loan shark (EZMoney), computer repairman (PC Man), and a construction worker to build and remodel homes (Don’s Home Improvement), and sometimes he would even be a mechanic and babysitter.
He always talked about his love for his daughter and grandchildren. He was very loved and will forever be missed.
Rest in peace. Fly high with all the angels until we meet again. Daddy’s little girl; I used to be his angel but now he is mine. No matter if we are near or far, you are forever with me in my heart. Tomorrow is never promised so make sure to make the most of today.
