Donald Brian Ford, 64, of Tuscumbia, passed away Sept. 11, 2014.
Visitation will be Saturday Sept. 13, from 9-10 a.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with funeral services to begin at 10 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating is Brother Seth Hood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Rebecca Ford, and infant sister, Sally Elizabeth Ford.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Ford;
daughter, Shelby Thompson (Nick), of Sutter, California;
granddaughter, Shaya Thompson;
brothers, Harold Ford (Cindy), of Lebanon, Tennessee, Jim Ford (Becky), of Florence, Alabama, and Sammy Ford (Selina), of Athens;
a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Harold Ford, Jim Ford, Sammy Ford, Calvin Sutts, Larry Sherrill, and Jason Sockwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Boilermaker Local No. 455.
Donald was a retiree from the Boilermaker and a member of Local No. 455. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served during the Vietnam War.
