Graveside services for Don Hugh Harris, 83, will be Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at 2 p.m., at Roselawn Cemetery with Rev. Richie Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Harris who died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital, was born Oct. 11, 1932, in Austinville, to Porter Arthur Harris and Daisy Long Harris. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Harris, parents and one stepson Phillip Puckett.
He is survived by his son, Robert Harris and his daughter, Donna H. Wright (Walter) of Decatur; one stepdaughter, Pamela Owen of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one sister, Juanita Mooney of Decatur; one step-grandson, Patrick Owen of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Special friend Shirley Siebert and a special thank you to Amy Scoggins for the care she provided.
