Dolores Margaret Fowler, 81, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, January 17, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 25, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Ernest and Erna Werth. Dolores lived a life marked by resilence, faith, and devotion to her loved ones and her church.
Dolores worked as a bead processor at Cooper Tire for 15 years, where her meticulous nature and strong work ethic shone brightly. She was a devoted and long-time member of Belmont Methodist Church, where she dedicated countless hours volunteering, whether working at the Annex building, maintaining the church grounds or contributing to its vibrant community life.
She loved spending time with her friends playing Bunco and was admired for her organizational skills and passion for helping others. Her strength of character and tireless energy were evident in everything she did, from tending to her yard to caring for her family.
She is survived by her daughter- Liz Russell (Alan); her son- Ronnie Fowler (Carrie); grandchildren- Erica Phillips (Wayne), Connie Pieczarka (Micah), Jessica Fowler, Christy Ivanov, Leslie Fowler, Chandler Ayers (Hannah), Logan Fowler and Bryce Jackson (Ashlyn); ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who cherished her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her Husband of 56 years, Ray Fowler; two sons, Todd and Dan Fowler; her parents. Ernest and Erna Werth and a sister, Rose Simbob.
There will be a time of visitation Monday, January 20, 2025, from 5-8 P.M. at Belmont Methodist Church.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice doctors, nurses, caregivers and a special nurse, Laken Hayes for their compassionate care and support during Dolores time in their care.
