Dolly Farmer, 91, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on August 6, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care Center. Dolly was born on August 30, 1933, in Purvis, Mississippi to parents, Marshall and Luella Busha. Dolly was the third child of ten born to the Busha’s. Miss Dolly enjoyed hair dressing and was a hairdresser in the city of Huntsville for 40 years.
Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, William Samuel Farmer; her parents; brothers, Bobby Busha, Jack Busha, Kenneth Ray Busha, and Jimmy Eugene Busha; and sister, Lela Mae Coppett. Survivors include children, Samuel Floyd Farmer (Carol), Johnnie Ray Farmer (Annetta), Billy Joe Farmer, and Phyllis Dianne Parker (Mark); brothers, Herman Busha and Gene Busha; sisters, Mary Lou Smith, Clara Nell Henderson (aka Cricket); nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Bill Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Boaz, AL.
