Mrs. Dixie Britt Cannon passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Jackson
Madison County General Hospital. Mrs. Cannon, the youngest of three children of the late Otis T. and Isabelle Brower Britt was retired from the State of Tennessee Environmental Services Division and was a lifelong member of Palestine Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Dixie’s life revolved around her family and was always a part of everything they did. Whether it was motorcycle or car races, baseball or softball games, her children and grandkids could always count on her being there. As her family said, she was crazy about her grand and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Bryon (Kami) Cannon of Jackson, her daughter Stacy Burke of Lexington and a brother, Dennis (Lou) Britt of Franklin; five grandchildren: Blake Burke (Kaitlyn), Kynlee Burke, Hailey Garner (Channing Johnson), Matthew and Drew Cannon; three great grandchildren: Jake Garner, Beckett and Declan Burke. Preceding her in death was her husband, Jessie Lee Cannon and her brother, Ray T. Britt.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 4th from 2 -7 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington.
