Divers Search For Occupant Of Car Submerged In Cypress Creek

FLORENCE-The search for the car and driver that went into Cypress Creek at around 4 a.m. this morning continues.

The Florence Marine Police Dive Team and members of the Florence Fire Rescue are sending divers into the water near the ramp where the car was believed to have  entered.

Divers have entered the bitterly cold water in search of the occupant of the car.  As it stands now divers have determined the possible location and are continuing their search.

We will update the story as we hear more from the scene.

Meanwhile the other occupant of the car has been treated for hypothermia and his name has not been released.
