Dicie Mae Atchley Bevel, 93, of Grant, passed away October 11, 2025. She was an exceptional housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Dicie was born and raised in New Hope, Alabama until her marriage of 52 years to the late Joe Leon Bevel.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joe Leon Bevel; father, Robert Drew Atchley; mother, Mary Holt Atchley; son, Ralph David Bevel; grandson, Jeremy Todd Bevel; and siblings, Gardner Atchley, Robert Atchley Jr. and Opal Clark.
Surviving are son, Travis (Donna) Bevel; daughter, Regina (Wade) Atchley; son, Joel (Gina) Bevel; grandchildren, John (Hannah) Bevel, Andrea (Tim) Tumlin, Joseph (Destiny) Bevel, Chris Bevel and Ryan Bevel; great grandchildren, Maddie Bevel, Sarah Bevel, Caleb Bevel, Christopher Bevel, and Beau Bevel; sisters, Merlene Baldwin, Ann Irvin, and Sue Hall; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be follow at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday at 1:00 PM with Bro. Wayne Walls officiating. Pallbearers Darrel Baldwin, Justin Stapler, J.T. Anderson, Tony Clark, Terry Scott and Glenn Rodgers.
Interment will be in Walker Cemetery.
