Funeral Services for Mrs. Dianne Sims Upchurch, age 77 of Munford, will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Liberty Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jon Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Dianne Sims Upchurch, a loving mother, Nana, Sister, Aunt, and friend passed away on August 27, 2025. She was born in Talladega on November 8, 1947. She graduated from Clay County High School in 1966 and it was there that she met the love of her life, Clyde Upchurch. Her and Clyde married in August of 1965 and had two wonderful children. Dianne was a devoted wife and mother, and eventually welcomed many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she loved more than anything. She was a Nana to more than just her own. Dianne brought joy into every room she was in. She was the life of the party and loved to make people laugh. She loved deeply and fiercely and made sure her people knew. She will be missed deeply and her joyful, fun loving spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

Mrs. Upchurch was survived by two children: Frankie Upchurch (Jamie) of Ashland and Angie Smith of Jacksonville; six grandchildren: Kirk Upchurch, Clay Upchurch (Jessica), Ansley Lipham (Jessup), Emmy Lagos Caceres (Luis), Taylor Reaves, and Sydnee Reaves; six great-grandchildren: Blakelyn, Tatum, Dawson, Asher, Kathryn, and Enzo; two brothers: Greg Sims (Gail) of Lincoln and Mike Sims (Thersea) of Talladega, plus other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents: O.C. and Claudine Sprayberry Sims; her husband, Clyde Upchruch; two sisters: Helen Thomas and Faye Lett; and one brother, Harry Sims.

Dean Lett, Robbie Lett, Rickey Blankenship, Danny Midgette, Jessup Gordon, and Luis Lagos Caceres will serve as pallbearers.

Her visitation will take place on Friday, August 29th at Liberty Baptist Church beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. The family request no flowers: instead, they would prefer donations be made to the American Cancer Society, in honor of all of her loved ones who have fought against this disease.
