Dianna “Mickey” Rose Gibour

Dianna “Mickey” Rose Gibour, 83, of Florence, AL, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend journeyed on to her heavenly home December 24, 2023. While she is now with all those that have gone before her, the impact of her lost will be felt by those she left behind.

Mickey was born June 18, 1940, in Grand Rapid, WI to Arthur Dickinson and Lucille Dickinson (Kingston) and lived in Wildwood, IL until she relocated to the Shoals area in 1994. She graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1958. On arriving in the Shoals, she owned the Muscle Shoals Culligan Water business with her husband until they retired. Mickey had been a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Florence. Most of her life she was a home-maker and enjoyed a large variety of crafts. She loved to read, bake and arrange parties to spend time with family and friends.

Mickey leaves behind her daughter, Joy Riley, of Beach Park, IL; daughter-in-law, Frances Gibour (Vela), of Monahan, TX and a granddaughter.

She was proceeded in her journey home by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 63 years, Wayne Gibour; her parents; sons, Daniel Gibour (Regina) and Michael Gibour; brother, Robert Dickinson (Sandy); and son-in-law, JJ Riley.

A final memorial will be held at a later date in Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Good Shepard Lutheran Church at 2001 Cloyd Blvd, Florence AL 35630.
