Diane Walker – Obituary

Diane Walker was born June 6, 1945 in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late Lonnie B. and Nora Velmer McIntyre Weaver.

She was united in marriage to Billy Walker on July 3, 1965. Mr. Walker preceded her in death on September 5, 2001.

Mrs. Walker worked for Brown Shoe Company, Jack McConnico Memorial Library and retried as a bookkeeper from Bill Wheeler’s BS Mac Company. She was a wonderful seamstress and many McNairy Countians depended on her for their alterations. She was a lovely Christian lady with a one-of-a-kind heart who extended her love to all. She was a member of First United Methodist church in Selmer. She had a special place in her heart for Living Free Ministries in Corinth, MS.

Mrs. Walker departed this life on April 1, 2018 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 72 Years, 9 Months, 26 Days. She is survived by a son, Jeff Walker and wife Teresa of Ramer, TN; four daughters, Susan Hendrix and husband Bobby of Stantonville, TN, Mollye Likins and husband Steve of Biloxi, MS, Amanda Ingle and husband Jerry of Bethel Springs, TN, Polly Johnson and husband Craig of Corinth, MS; a sister, Gay King of Selmer, TN; a brother, Duane Weaver of Selmer, TN; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer Walker, Brandy Bridges, Maranda Johnsonius, Daniel Walker, Alesha Jordan, Jareth Vinet, Ashton Vinet, Lauren Ingle, Claire Ingle, Sarah Johnson, Olivia Johnson; four great grandchildren, Cason Simmons, Nolan Johnsonius, Clyde Wilson, Chase Bridges; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Flatt; a brother, Berlie Weaver.
