Diane Teetzel Gafford, 73, of Crossville, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at Shepherds Cove. She was born September 10, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Eltham Teetzel and Mable Evelyn Guffey Eckert. She was a registered nurse.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Monday, September 4th at Wilson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to her favorite charity Tunnels to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
She is survived by her children Sean Higdon and Heather Kruse (Geoff); uncles Richard Guffey, R.J. Guffey (Winogene), and Darrell Guffey; and grandchildren Rebecca Higdon, Greg Kruse, and Tabitha “Grey” Kruse.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
