Diana Carroll Barnes, age 85, of Danville, IN, and formerly of Springfield, TN, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at Brownsburg Healthcare Center in Brownsburg, IN. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 1:30pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Phillip Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11am until the hour of service at 1:30pm.
Mrs. Barnes was born December 31, 1936 in Cairo, IL to the late James H. and Mary Sue Carroll. She worked as a secretary for the State of TN. She was a loving and caring mother and doted on her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Barnes is preceded in death by her husband, Larry G. Barnes. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Kim Barnes; daughters and sons-in-law, Danby and Don Miller and Lori and Kevin Maguire; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Neal Fuller; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
