Dewitt Talmadge Coleman, Jr., 76, widower of the late Nancy Thompson Coleman, 138 E. Waterford Dr., passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017 at his residence.

Born in Dublin, Georgia, he was the son of the late Dewitt Talmadge Coleman, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Clark Coleman. Mr. Coleman was a residential contractor and a member of First Assembly of God in Hartselle. Dewitt also was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam Era.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Coleman (Kristine) of Seneca; four grandchildren, Kirsten Faith Coleman, Justin David Coleman (Courtney), Jordan Tyler Coleman and Kaitlin Elizabeth Hope Coleman; two great-grandchildren, Nash Coleman and Silas Leventis.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, Aaron and Amyrillis Coleman; and sisters, Joyce Coker, Tommy Greene and Etheldra Pentecost.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sept. 30, 2017 at the Hartselle First Assembly of God.
