Funeral service for Dewey Lee Miller, age 78, of Decatur, will be Thursday, July 3, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Holt officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Miller, who died Monday, June 30, 2014, at his residence, was born September 10, 1935, in Morgan County, to John Dewey Miller and Ruth McCulloch Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Miller was a member of South Chapel Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Nix Miller of Decatur; two brothers, Melvin Miller (Linda) of Decatur, and Jerry Miller (Jan) of Tampa, FL; and three nephews/nieces, Karen Miller, Andy Miller, and Jeran Miller.
Pallbearers will be Jeff McCulloch, Ricky Ryan, Andy Miller, Jimmy Nix, Grant Workman, and Thurman Baker.
