Dewey Curtis Carson, age 85 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away April 12, 2022 at Lakeland Community Hospital. He is remembered as the Driver of the NACOLG Van for the Senior Citizens, and was a member of Open Door Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Carson is survived by his wife, Marie Carson; children, Kathy (Richard) Gast, Sandy (Randy) Speakman, Shirley (Ricky) Borden, Sharon (Stanley) Vandiver and Bridget Bell (fiancé, Bobby Abbott); sister, Della Mae Frost; brother in law, Sam Porter; 17 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Lucille Carson; sister, Doris Porter; brothers, Donald Carson and David Carson; son, Curtis Carson; and grandchildren, Randall Speakman and Landis Morgan; and son in law, Scott Bell.
