Dessie Mae Posey Prince, 88, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 10 am-12 pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel. A private graveside service will be held for the family. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
She was a member of Muscle Shoals Baptist Church. Dessie helped in the church and on the food committee for several years and loved her ladies Sunday School Class and fellowshipping with her church members.
She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Posey; mother, Susie Pounders Posey; husband, Shelton Prince; eleven brothers and sisters; and a great grandchild, Sage Spires.
She is survived by her sons, Allen Pace (Dorenda), Tony Pace (Paige), and Larry Pace (Stacy); sister, Joyce Guebert Sanders (Jim); grandchildren, Jessica Alcala, Paige Atencio (Eric), Tyler Pace (Sarahbeth), Mikayla Sparks (Hayden), Karley Pace (CJ), and Savanna Spires (Devin); eleven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
