Dessie Ford Woods, 93, of Oakman, died Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Golden Living Center in Winfield.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 25 at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Day Cemetery in Oakman. Kenneth Wiggins will officiate.
Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by her father, James Monroe Ford; mother, Tresser Davis Ford; husband, Carl Woods; daughter, Jeanette Avery; grandchildren, Kimberly Woods and Pruitt Angie Woods; and son-in-law, Carless Sellers.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Woods (Mary) and Carl Edward Woods (Jan); daughters, Elizabeth Sellers and Reida Bartley (Richard); sisters, Mildred, Joyce and Ruby; brother, James Hill; son-in-law, Doug Avery; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
