Deshler Football Coach Jake Linville
TUSCUMBIA-Deshler High School head football coach Jake Linville died Sunday, October 19th at his parents home in Collinwood, Tennessee.
Coach Linville 41 , was given the head coaching job this year where he was an assistant coach after coach Mothershead resigned. Linville was part of Deshler’s football program since 2010.
Linville was also head coach at Covington,Tennessee and was an assistant coach at Russellville and Wilson before taking the head coaching position at Tipton-Rosemark in Tennessee.
Linville’s death comes as a shock to the Tuscumbia community and his hometown community of Collinwood. The cause of death is unknown at this time but several unnamed sources have said that suicide has not been ruled out.
Linville leaves a wife and two daughters. As soon as more information becomes available we will pass it along.
A prayer service is scheduled for 7 am. today at the stadium. Counselors and ministers will be on hand to speak with students and parents.
