Derrick Thompson, age 47, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at his residence. Funeral service, Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Allman Cemetery. Elder Steve Gunter officiating. Visitation at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Derrick was born on January 21, 1972 in Amory, MS to the late R.L. Latham and the late Dottie Thompson. He was a 1991 graduate of Sulligent High School and later graduated from Bevill State Community College in Hamilton, AL, majoring in Cosmetology and Barbering. Derrick owned Derrick’s Images in Hamilton, AL. He enjoyed dancing and fishing.
