Born on August 12, 1980, in Columbia, Derrick was the son of Carron Cooper Foster and the late Milton Eugene Wilson. He attended Columbia Central High School and worked in customer service at Walmart. Derrick enjoyed a good home cooked meal, especially his mother’s chicken and dressing and potato salad. He was a fun, loving person who enjoyed cooking, fashion, and traveling. He valued his family over everything; they were very close knit, and he was always there to help a family member or friend in a time of need. He had a special love for his nieces, nephews, and Goddaughter and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Derrick was a member of Pleasant Union Church of Christ.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Deanie Lamont Wilson, sisters, Linda Faye Wilson, Monoquisa J. Ray, beloved Goddaughter, Tametra J. Claybourne, and a host of nieces, nephews, and devoted friends.
